Undergrad business program ranked third in state, among nation’s top programs

��ϸ��’s College of Business (COB) is home to one of the nation’s top undergraduate business programs, according to Bloomberg Businessweek.

The program ranks No. 70 overall, No. 30 among public universities nationwide and No. 3 in Michigan in the publication’s annual list.

Employers ranked ��ϸ��-Dearborn No. 11 among public schools—and No. 2 in the state—in terms of how well the university prepares students for jobs at their companies.

“The Employer Survey ranking speaks volumes about our undergraduate program and its ability to successfully prepare our students for their future careers,” said COB Dean Raju Balakrishnan. “To be recognized for this by Bloomberg Businessweek and to be included on a list with universities like Indiana, Notre Dame, Virginia, U-M Ann Arbor and Michigan State is quite an accomplishment.”

Bloomberg Businessweek surveyed nearly 30,000 students and recruiters at nearly 600 companies. Rankings are based on feedback from recruiters and students, starting salary of graduates and the percentage of students who completed at least one internship while attending college.

The Bloomberg Businessweek ranking is one of several national rankings the college has received in the past year. In January, U.S. News & World Report named the college’s MBA program and online graduate program (non-MBA) among the nation’s best. And last fall Bloomberg Businessweek ranked the college’s part-time MBA program as second in the state and 68 nationally, U.S. News & World Report ranked COB’s undergraduate business program as a top program and The Princeton Review named the College of Business a “Best Business School.”
